300 FBI and IRS agents fanned out across New Jersey and Brooklyn to arrest 44 public officials and rabbis for corruption and money laundering. There were so many arrested, buses had to be used to transport the prisoners.
Two officials from Jersey City, Jersey City Council President Mariano Vega and Jersey City Deputy Mayor Leona Beldini, ended up in handcuffs in the FBI sweep on Thursday.
